By the time you find Neve, the fish will have gone cold and greasy. It’s not like you’ll be seeing her in the next few minutes. Right? So you may as well eat this fish. You can always get Neve another when you find her.
It’s a weak argument, but a plausible one, and Neve’s fish skewer is just as delightful as yours was. You polish it off and discard both skewers, keeping your hands free for any future fighting you might be involved in (or any more tasty treats that come your way).
