Ashur looks thoughtful. “Not exactly,” he says, “but close.”
Tarquin leans closer and points out the people who are most likely to not only have seen something, but also be willing to tell you about it. There’s a fish merchant with a little stall overlooking the harbor; he looks cheerful and his stall certainly seems popular enough to get a good cross-section of the people passing through. There’s an ordinary-looking guy standing in a place that gives him a good view of traffic all around the docks; he’s trying to look subtle, but the truth is, he’s not great at it. And there’s the Cobbled Swan, where Tarquin says the Shadow Dragons have friends who keep an eye out.
