“We’ll buy a paper,” you say. After all, few networks in Minrathous are as informative—or update as often—as the city’s papers.

The problem is that there are an almost endless number of papers, some of which come out several times a day, and almost equally many paper sellers stationed around the market (not to mention the rest of Minrathous). There are a few you can rule out straight away. Dockside Discourse is one of them; although you generally approve of the sentiments it contains, its news is often out of date and almost always wrong. They’re still touting the theory that the Viper is an entire group of people. The Nightly Song is another; if the subject isn’t local entertainment, it rarely has anything of value to offer.

After Ashur and Tarquin weigh in with their thoughts, you’re left with a very short list of papers that you agree are relevant enough—and published frequently enough—to contain potentially useful information.
